What is a Sheriff?
A sheriff is responsible for law enforcement on a county level, ensuring that all local, state, and federal laws are enforced properly, per the procedures and professional standards mandated by one's state. A sheriff is an elected official who is held accountable by the citizens of the area they serve, and is measured by their ability to keep constituents safe by upholding the law. A successful sheriff maintains law and order in their county by ensuring that there is an equitable and just system in place that operates smoothly on a daily basis to enforce the laws that were put in place to protect the people.
Why Vote Bowman for Sheriff?
Ensuring law and order is more than just the sheriff’s job – it is their duty. However, most constituents fail to realize that it is also the sheriff's duty to serve his community. While it is my foremost goal to continue to bring violators to justice, I am also committed to nurturing a community and school system that can thrive here in Liberty County, not only by protecting it, but by uniting the community at large.
I will continue to be easily available to the citizens of Liberty County, and I vow to be the sheriff whose heart is with the people.
My diverse and extensive background in law enforcement is unique, and it has afforded me a wealth of knowledge and understanding when it comes to serving the people that I have sworn to protect. My familiarity and expertise in this field has come to a well-honed point throughout the many years I have spent as a servant and as a guardian to my community, and this experience will modestly set me apart from the other candidates. In order to remain successful in the field of law enforcement for any period of time, one must have solid values, such as integrity, accountability, and compassion; however, in order to remain successful over a period of many years, one must conduct himself and his duties with a genuine humility that is grounded in selfless service.

During my time as a Georgia State Trooper, I was selected as Georgia State Trooper of the Year in 2015 and 2018. I was also selected as the Sergeant-At-Arms for 82nd Georgia State Patrol School. I have received advanced level training in Traffic Accident Investigation, Crisis Intervention, DUI Detection, and Tactics and Pursuit. The Governor of Georgia has formally recognized me for outstanding public service, and I have provided security for numerous dignitary visits, to include the President of the United States, the Vice President, former presidents of the United States, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, numerous foreign heads of state, the United States Secret Service, the State Department, and the Department of Defense. Additionally, I was graciously recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.) for outstanding support and dedication to their cause. These accomplishments should speak to my abilities, not only to lead effectively in this field – a field that I have dedicated my life to – but to serve from the heart to generate change and make a difference in our community. As difficult and as challenging as the field of law enforcement may be, I remind myself daily that my obligation and commitment ultimately is to the people of Liberty County, and this is what drives me to improve upon myself, my Deputies, and the Liberty County Sheriff's Office every day that I am called to serve in this position

Why Am I Seeking Re-Election
"I plan to continue keeping this community safe, while also cultivating an environment that protects and supports the livelihoods of our youth and of our neighborhoods altogether. It would be a wonderful achievement to provide our seniors with a safer, quainter city to live in. I seek to resolve the drug issues pervading our community, which are more prevalent in some neighborhoods than others, and prevent similar threats from spreading throughout our district as a whole, through our schools and our streets. One goal, set apart from and above the rest, is to develop a trustworthy relationship between our community and our law enforcement officers. Everyone should be united, trusted, and protected by the Sheriff, and I plan on doing just that”
